Training Services

Lakeland performs professional-grade compliance training in the following topics.  We bring training curricula to your workplace anywhere in the U.S., and customize content to each client's particular workplace conditions. 

All training sessions use a combination of lecture, media, and active class participation to keep each session interesting and informative. 

We frequently update all of our training programs, so you will see new materials and training methods each time we come to your facility.

DOT HAZMAT

This 5 to 7-hour course covers topics required by the PHMSA for Hazardous Materials Workers.  A Hazardous Materials Worker is anyone who:

• loads, unloads, or handles hazmat;
• tests, reconditions, repairs, modifies, marks, or otherwise represents packagings as qualified for use in the transportation of hazmat;
• prepares hazmat for transportation;
• is responsible for safety of transporting hazmat; or
• operates a vehicle used to transport hazmat.

RCRA Hazardous Waste

This 4 to 6-hour course is for hazardous waste generators and is an EPA requirement for anyone who:

• manages hazardous waste;
• completes or approves waste manifests;
• handles or labels hazardous waste; or
• inspects hazardous waste storage areas

Combined DOT HAZMAT and RCRA

This day-long course combines the topics required by both of the above disciplines.

HAZWOPER 8-Hour Refresher

This day-long class meets the annual refresher training requirements of OSHA HAZWOPER.  This class can also be presented in two 4-hour sessions.

HAZWOPER 40-Hour Initial

This course meets the OSHA HAZWOPER initial training requirements for hazardous materials site workers.

It is presented as three day-long in-person sessions plus take-home assignments that require about 16 hours to complete.
