Lakeland Environmental Inc. was founded in the Finger Lakes region of upstate New York
with field offices serving  New York, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Connecticut,  North
Carolina, and Chicago Metro.  Our goal is to provide  the best, most up-to-date,  highest
quality service to every one of our clients, quickly and inexpensively.  This attitude
pervades all of our business and operational functions.  We continually look for ways to
improve our services and products.  It has been our goal since 1982 to be the company of
choice in each of our represented industries.

About the Owner:
Mr. Major holds a degree in Soil Science from Cornell University with extensive experience
in environmental consulting, testing, assessment, field and lab work.   Steve is a New York
State Department of Health certified Training Director and a NYS Licensed Asbestos
Inspector, Supervisor, and Project Monitor.  He is an experienced mold remediation project
designer and supervisor (IAQA-trained) and has been directly involved in many remediation
projects.   He has developed and presented numerous successful environmental training
programs on such diverse topics as mold remediation, asbestos, and safety compliance.  
Additionally Steve has in-depth expertise in building design and construction, moisture
investigation, HVAC design, and water treatment.  He is a published author and technical
writer.
