Training Course Descriptions
HAZWOPER 8-HOUR REFRESHER
This class is designed to satisfy the annual training refresher requirements for individuals
who are currently certified in either the 40-hour or 24-hour initial Hazardous Waste
Operations and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER) initial training.

Through a combination of discussion, audio-visual presentations and exercises, attendees
are introduced to a variety of HAZWOPER topics including:
  • hazard recognition
  • toxicology
  • air monitoring
  • PPE & respiratory protection
  • response organization
  • general site safety issues
As with all of our classes, content is geared toward the specific workplace hazards of the
class attendees.
PERMIT-REQUIRED CONFINED SPACE
This class is designed to familiarize attendees with the regulations and procedures that
govern the management of, and entry into, confined spaces at the workplace.  

Through a combination of discussion, audio-visual presentations and exercises, attendees
are introduced to pertinent aspects of 29 CFR 1910 including:
  • identification of confined spaces
  • confined space hazards
  • the permit process
  • atmospheric testing
  • PPE & respiratory protection
  • staff responsibilities
  • rescue methods
As with all of our classes, content is geared toward the specific workplace hazards of the
class attendees.
